Artist
As an artist I find beauty in absolutely all of earth’s creations. From the sun and moon, to the divine human body, to the flowers in gardens, bunnies on land, fish in the sea, and birds in the sky. Therefore, it is not specifically “who” or “what” inspires my creativity, instead, it is the moments “when” creativity strikes. My imagination runs wild and my creativity becomes crystal clear when I practice yoga, when I dance, when I play in the forest, and swim in the sea. I receive my creative downloads when I tap into flow state, the experience of being so absorbed by a task that your attention is consumed and you loose track of time.
For this reason, I love finding ways to intertwine all of my passions. I am simultaneously an artist, a yogi, and an explorer. Their intersection is fluid. There isn’t one without the other.
I create acrylic paintings on un-stretched canvas, hand-painted canvas totes, digital prints, and silk screen prints onto sustainably made clothes. Take a look at my work and you will discover all the ways I express myself through color, texture, rhythm, patterns, and beyond. My art is a reflection of my flow state.
Yogi
I teach Lila Yoga, a specific yoga style and tradition of hatha yoga practice within the Krishnamacharya lineage. Lila is a practice with special emphasis on the movement of prana within the mind, body, and the subtle creative energy channels.
I am honored to show others how the Lila Yoga practice begins to feel like a dance, flowing from pose to pose finding the duality of fluidity + grace and strength + power. I am in awe of the effect yoga has on the movement of the body and transcendence of the mind; however, I strive to show others that an imperative yet simple part of yoga is curiosity and playfulness.
