Yoga
With a mother who has been teaching yoga since before I was born, I grew up with yoga. Movement, health, awareness, and expression have been a part of my life since I can remember. Teaching others the power of yoga was naturally the next step in my journey.

In 2017, I had the pleasure of studying with Erica Kaufmann at her Lila Yoga Studio in Pennsylvania. I also traveled to Chennai, India in January 2018 to complete my training at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram. Here I was able to deepen my practice, explore the beautiful city, and immerse myself in the culture. Since then, I have enjoyed practicing and teaching yoga everywhere I go. I continue to teach in the Lila Yoga tradition cultivating awareness and practicing mindfulness.
Lila is a specific yoga style and tradition of hatha yoga practice within the Krishnamacharya lineage. Lila is a practice with special emphasis on the movement of prana within the mind, body, and the subtle creative energy channels. Prana is our life force, or life energy, and we can feel this prana coursing through us when we connect our body and breath. The movement of prana through asanas ignites the unique pathways within our body and mind, connecting us with the larger rhythm of energy. The Lila practice begins to feel like a dance, flowing from pose to pose finding fluidity and grace while also feeling strong, grounded and empowered. In the Lila yoga tradition, we use imagery of plants, roots, the sun, animals, and more to feel united and connected to nature, to feel part of the oneness.

I am in awe of the effect yoga has on the movement of the body and transcendence of the mind. Through vinyasa, pranayama, and meditation I hope to encourage practitioners to explore their strength, fluidity, creativity, and playfulness.
